Benefiting: Partnership for Storng Families

Every day children in our care are searching for their superhero. These children are newborns. They are middle-school-aged. They are teenagers. They are all races and nationalities. It is our jobs to provide temporary shelter for these children who can no longer live at home because home is not safe. For some children, their home of origin will never be safe, and we are charged with finding them safe, love forever families. We race to raise awareness for the 700 children in our area who are in out-of-home care because of abuse or neglect and especially for the 35 who need adoptive homes.

Sometimes children are not able to live at home or sleep in their own beds due to due to abuse or neglect. If a relative is not available, we rely on Partner Families to open their hearts and home to the children in need of safety, love and nurturing, and, when the time is right let them go again. We race to raise awareness of the need for more Partner Families to support the children in our care.
